About I-Ching
At its base, I Ching is an ancient philosophical tome and manual for divination. It was published in the late ninth century BC and it’s otherwise known as the book of changes. The most fundamental elements of ancient I Ching start with transferable wisdoms through the description of natural phenomenon’s or human activities. Many of these items are presented and rationalized by the 64 hexagrams. In I Ching there are fundamental governing laws that guide objects and relationships in the universe. In a way it almost turns almost everything in our lives into a giant algebra equation. As one of the oldest Chinese classics it takes basis in looking at the world in a brand-new way by removing some of the mysteries that can often cloud a path of an individual.
I Ching is one of five classics that is rooted in Confucianism. I Ching actually existed long before Confucianism. Practitioners of I Ching can practice the type of divination which is called Cleromancy. Despite of the misuses in the history, Cleromancy is the process invented to reconstruct a divine intent on a particular subject. Searching for the hidden in what we can see right in front of us is a big aspect of the philosophy and it often means asking the right questions for taking the right approach.
I Ching was at one time part of mainstream political philosophy in ancient times. People in power chose I Ching as a method to guide their dynasties and was often one of the most trusted sources in decision making. Because it was written in ancient language under the limitation of knowledge when it was written, I Ching has lost its influence since Xinhai Revolution, which introduced dramatic changes to China. Applying some of these principles to modern life is creating a unique imagery and a completely changing way to view modern connections. The traditional teachings or text can provide some insight into mysteries that we apply in modern life but the modernist school of these reinterpreted these teachings in a modern way. Through the app we can present the modernist version of I Ching in direct consultations.
I Ching has only continued to evolve but with the help of a modern eye on the subject of this philosophy it grows even more relevant as a method to add confidence to the path of humans.
